Provo Fashion Week: What I Wore & What I Learned

Monday, October 20, 2014

I can't believe Provo Fashion Week was already a week ago!! I had the best time helping Mary with all the craziness backstage!  It was such an amazing experience and I learned a lot from Mary!  She has been such a great example and mentor!

Before the show, I had the chance to meet some of the other designers involved in Provo Fashion Week.  I was talking with Nephi Garcia and Rebecca Fenton (who are both incredible designers!!!) and I was telling them how much I wish I could go to design school, and they both said to me "why do you have to go to school? Why don't you just do it?"  I told them, I don't know what I'm doing! And they both said to me "I didn't go to school."  At that point I was like "WHAAAAAAAAT!"

Talking with Nephi and Rebecca was so great. They both gave me such great advice and they were so encouraging!  It really gave me a push in the right direction. They are both so inspiring and I'm so glad I got the chance to talk to them!

The main thing I learned from Provo Fashion Week is that I LOVE FASHION!!! Haha which I already knew of course.  But I mostly got a huge reminder of how much I wanted to learn more about fashion design and start making my own pretty creations! So that is what will be happening in the very near future :)  I'm so excited to take a big step in the right direction to making my dreams a reality!

And with that, here's what I wore for Provo Fashion Week!
