Cheetah Print and a Ballet Skirt

Friday, August 29, 2014

This is the most perfect cardigan in the whole world :)
Also, Hi! Thanks for stopping by Ginger Next Door!
Now, back to the outfit!  This cardigan mixes some of my favorite things: cheetah print, pink and pretty sparkly buttons!  It also came along at the perfect time because I've been in search of something fab to go with this ballerina-esqe skirt! I really love the shape of the chiffon layering on the front of this skirt!

DIY Polka Dot Wall-Renter Friendly

Thursday, August 21, 2014

Hey there!!! Today's post is a Polka Dot wall DIY!  I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out!  It added such a fun pop to my desk area!  And the best part is, this is a renter friendly DIY!  These polka dots I used are easy to remove and don't hurt your paint!!  I got them on Amazon, here's the link!

Here's what you'll need for this project!

*Vinyl Polka Dots (mine are 3 inches)*Tape Measure*Sticky Notes-this worked great because they're the same size as the dots!!

First things first, wipe down your wall with a wet towel to help the dots stick!
Next, I mapped out were I wanted my dots!  The wall I put mine on is 6x7 feet, so I spaced my dots 15 inches apart-starting on the left side of the first sticky note, to the left side of the second sticky note.

After I mapped out my rows and was happy with where they were, I just replaced the sticky notes with the dots! They're incredibly easy to stick on, and once you press them down, they look just like paint!

And that's it!! This was such a simple project and I am THRILLED with how it turned out.  If my hubby would let me get away with it, my whole house would be covered in these pretty little polka dots!  The polka dots came on a sheet of 56 and I used 55, it worked out so fabulously!!

10 Under 10 Dollars

Monday, August 11, 2014

High end makeup brands are always soooo tempting!  BUT they aren't always worth the big bucks!  Today's post is about some of my favorite drugstore makeup/beauty products and they're all under 10 dollars!!  In no particular order-here they are!!

1.  Elf brand high definition powder-this is a great setting powder that makes your foundation look great and prevents creasing!  This is a fabulous dupe for the Makeup Forever HD High Definition Powder!

2. Pond's dry skin cream-this is a daily facial moisturizer that is ridiculously hydrating! So hydrating, in fact, I can only use it at night before bed so it has time to work its way in to my skin before I put my makeup on in the morning!  This works just as well as the high end moisturizers, plus look how HUGE that thing is, I will never run out!

3. St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub-I've been using this cleanser for years and I absolutely love it! It cleanses and removed dead skin without over drying or being to harsh!

4.  Covergirl 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation-this foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation, depending how much you put on.  It stays looking good all day!  I tend to get oily throughout the day but this foundation stays put! (Especially paired with the Elf High Definition Powder!)

5. Nyx Matte Bronzer- in the shade light. I always have the hardest time finding a bronzer that isn't to dark for my pale skin! But this one is great! You can use a little or a lot, and it looks great every time!  It adds a little bit of definition to your face without going on looking like mud!!

6. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner- I love love LOVE this! Before I bought this gel liner, I could not for the life of me figure out winged liner! But this gel liner is so easy to work with!! Plus it is SO perfectly black.  Love it.  If you can't get the hang of gel liner, this is a great one to try!

7. Maybelline Define-A-Lash-the best mascara I have EVER used!!!  The brush is great, the color is wonderful and it makes my lashes look long and doesn't clump!!

8. Elf Eye Primer- this is only one dollar and it works just as well as the Too Faced and Urban Decay eye primers!  Using an eye primer makes such a difference in eye shadow!  There's no need to spend 20+ dollars on eye primer because this elf one works wonders!!!

9.  L'oreal Infallible eye shadows.  These shadows are INSANE.  They go on so beautifully and I'd love one in every color!  They're so inexpensive for how great the quality is.  I only have 2 of these at the moment, but I plan on changing that ASAP!

1. Liquid Diamond-silvery metallic awesome-ness
2. Amber Rush-beautiful rose goldy-dupe for Mac Pigment Tan
10.  Revlon Lip Butters- it's a lipstick, it's a gloss, it's a chapstick. It's great!  The lip butters are a great way to start wearing color if you're not used to a lot of color on your lips!  They're beautiful colors without being too much!

1. Cotton Candy
2. Creme Brule
3. Sweet Tart

I hope you've liked this post! And I hope it wasn't TOO rambling!!  I would love to know your favorite drugstore products!  Leave me a comment!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Floral Jeans + A Chambray

Thursday, August 7, 2014

You guys.  I love these pants. And this shirt. And these SHOES!

Basically, I love this outfit. :)  It's always a great day when you get dressed and you think "I LOVE MY OUTFIT!"  I'm the kind of girl who has a closet full of clothes, but some days I think I have nothing to wear. Which is ridiculous, but I know I'm not the only one!

I'm loving the floral trend lately, and I'm so thrilled that it's popular because I think florals are fabulous.  I actually bought these jeans a couple years ago, unsure if I would actually wear them. And now, I'm so glad I did!
